We have developed a track and trace system for identifying late deliveries early.

The first line of defence is our barcoding system. When the carrier arrives on site, they scan their manifest. When the driver leaves, they scan back out. Our system automatically logs the time the vehicle has left against the collection time. GCM then calculates whether the delivery will be on time. If it is running late, the onsite planner is alerted to the problem allowing a quick resolution.

The second line of defence is our text confirmation software. Each driver is given a text hub phone number. When they arrive at their delivery point, the driver punches his unique shipment number into his phone and texts the hub. Any late deliveries will automatically flag on the planners system. All this information can be accessed by the client via our online service

Our new processes have given our customers a more accurate OTIF report and helped improve relationships with their clients.
